Over the weekend Laura and I took a very quick trip to Washington state. On Saturday we went to the Tulip Festival in Woodland. Words can't adequately describe the spectacle of acres and acres of tulips in bloom. Add a few windmills and one would think they were in Holland.
A very slow moving Spring storm brought the night-time temperatures down to 32 last night. The question is, will our peaches survive? I think we lost the Apricots two weeks ago, but please, not the peaches. Can't winter just kindly leave?
I went in this morning to make the bed and found Gir -the wonderdog- sound asleep on Laura's pillow. I didn't have the heart to disturb him, so the bed remained unmade. Life is hard when you have to bark at every kid that passes on their way to school and every car that travels along 10th East.... So, in between kids and cars, you grab all the sleep you can!
